Avion Metal Works of Florida

was founded in 1992 by Joan Maurice. She took a foundering wrought iron metal furniture company with 2 workers and a few hand tools and created the premier Florida decorative wrought iron and aluminum products company Avion is today.

Joan rolled up her sleeves both literally and figuratively and got going. She created the unique singular metal designs and custom finishes Avion still uses, and is known for, to this day.

She came from New York’s Madison Avenue, where she owned and operated a successful corporate video communications company. Her discipline of listening, responding to, and fulfilling the clients needs has helped enormously to bring her vision of a design oriented, creative

ornamental iron and aluminum design company

 to life.

Avion still works directly with designers, builders and her clients. Our work, and attention to detail has brought many a tear of joy to happy home-owners. “I had no idea it would be so beautiful”, is not an uncommon reaction.
